Judd Winick is an American writer who has made a mark in multiple fields, including cartooning, comic book writing, and screenwriting. Initially, he gained recognition for his appearance on the reality television show The Real World: San Francisco in 1994. This exposure paved the way for his subsequent career as a comic book creator, where he drew from his personal experiences to craft compelling stories.

Winick's notable works include the autobiographical graphic novel Pedro and Me, which chronicles his friendship with Pedro Zamora, an AIDS educator and fellow castmate from The Real World. He has also had successful runs as a writer for DC Comics' series Green Lantern and Green Arrow. In addition to his work in comics, Winick created the animated television series The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, which aired on Cartoon Network for three seasons.
