Michael Savage is a prominent American radio talk show host, author, and activist. Born Michael Alan Weiner, he has established a notable career in broadcasting and writing, leveraging his expertise in various fields. With a strong educational background, Savage holds master's degrees in medical botany and medical anthropology from the University of Hawaii, as well as a Ph.D. in nutritional ethnomedicine from the University of California, Berkeley.

As a radio host, Michael Savage is best known for his nationally syndicated talk show, The Savage Nation, which aired across the United States until 2021. At its peak, the show garnered an audience of over 20 million listeners on 400 stations, making it the second most listened-to radio talk show in the country in 2009. In addition to his broadcasting career, Savage has written numerous books on topics such as nutrition, herbal medicine, and politics, with several of his political books reaching The New York Times Best Seller list. His writing has been published under both his given name, Michael Weiner, and his professional name, Michael Savage.
