Paulette Goodman

Paulette Goodman was a prominent American LGBTQ activist, dedicating her life to promoting equality and acceptance. Born in 1933, she played a pivotal role in advancing the rights of the LGBTQ community through her tireless efforts. Goodman's activism was marked by her leadership and commitment to creating a more inclusive environment for individuals of all sexual orientations.

As the President of Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) from 1988 to 1992, Goodman spearheaded several initiatives that helped raise awareness about LGBTQ issues. Notably, she led a successful campaign to display PFLAG ads on DC Metro buses, increasing the organization's visibility and reach. Through her work, Goodman left a lasting impact on the LGBTQ community, continuing to inspire future generations of activists until her passing in 2021.
