The Knack
American band
The Knack was a prominent American band that emerged in the music scene in 1978. Formed in Los Angeles, California, the group consisted of founding members Doug Fieger, Berton Averre, Prescott Niles, and Bruce Gary. This power pop band quickly gained recognition and achieved significant success with their debut single and subsequent releases.
The Knack's debut album, Get the Knack, released in 1979, topped the charts in several countries, largely due to the popularity of their hit single "My Sharona". However, their subsequent albums, ...But The Little Girls Understand and Round Trip, released in 1980 and 1981 respectively, did not replicate the same level of success. As a result, the band decided to disband in 1982, bringing an end to their musical endeavors together.
