Vilunya Diskin

Vilunya Diskin is an American author and activist, born in 1941 in Przemyslany, Poland. Following World War II, she immigrated to the United States in 1948, where she was adopted and raised by an American Jewish family in Los Angeles. This marked the beginning of her life in the United States, which would eventually shape her future endeavors.
As she pursued higher education, Diskin became involved in feminist activism, laying the groundwork for her subsequent work. She went on to co-found the Boston Women's Health Book Collective and co-author the influential book "Our Bodies, Ourselves". Currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts, Diskin's contributions to the collective and the book have had a lasting impact on the realm of women's health and activism.
