Salomo Friedlaender

Salomo Friedlaender was a German-Jewish philosopher, poet, and satirist, born in 1871. His literary career was marked by a unique approach, as he chose to publish his works under the pseudonym Mynona, a reversal of the German word for "anonymous". This distinctive choice reflects the innovative and unconventional nature of his writing, which explored the realms of grotesque and fantastic literature.

Friedlaender's philosophical ideas were rooted in dualism, drawing inspiration from the works of Immanuel Kant. His writing style was characterized by avant-garde poetry and fiction, showcasing his bold and experimental approach to literature. Despite his notable contributions to German literature and philosophy, Friedlaender's work remains largely inaccessible to English-speaking audiences, with almost none of his writings translated into English.
