Amit Peled is a renowned Israeli-American musician, distinguished in multiple facets of the music world. As a cellist, he has had the privilege of performing with a range of historic instruments. Currently, he plays a ca. 1695 Grancino cello, generously loaned to him by the Roux Family Foundation. This opportunity follows his previous experience with another notable instrument, Pablo Casals's 1733 Matteo Goffriller cello, which he had the honor of playing from 2012 to 2018.
In addition to his work as a cellist, Peled is also recognized as a conductor and pedagogue, contributing to the music community through his multifaceted career. Prior to playing Casals's cello, Peled's musical journey included performing with a 1689 Andrea Guarneri cello, further highlighting his connection to historically significant instruments.
