Abramo dall'Arpa

Abramo dall'Arpa was a renowned Italian harpist who made significant contributions to the musical landscape of his time. His career is notable for his association with the court of Mantua, where he participated in a dramatic production in 1542, playing the role of Pan. This performance marked the beginning of his long-standing relationship with the court, which continued under the patronage of Guglielmo I Gonzaga in the following decades.

As a respected musician, Abramo dall'Arpa's expertise was sought after by prominent figures of the time. Around 1560, he was invited by Ferdinand I to join the imperial court in Vienna, where he took on the role of instructing the emperor's children in music.
