Carl Foreman

Carl Foreman was a prominent figure in the American film industry, working as a screenwriter, producer, and director. Born in 1914, he established himself as a talented writer, contributing to various notable projects. However, his career was significantly impacted by the Hollywood blacklist of the 1950s, which led to his relocation to the United Kingdom due to suspected communist sympathies.

One of his most notable achievements was his work on the 1957 film The Bridge on the River Kwai, for which he posthumously received the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
