Georges Politzer
French philosopher, Marxist theoretician and resistance member
Georges Politzer was a prominent philosopher and Marxist theoretician of Hungarian Jewish origin. Born in Oradea, a city located in present-day Romania, he later became a notable figure in French philosophical circles. His intellectual contributions and passionate advocacy for Marxist ideals earned him a distinctive reputation, with some affectionately referring to him as the "red-headed philosopher".
