Geulah Cohen was a prominent Israeli politician and activist who played a significant role in the country's right-wing political landscape. Born in 1925, Cohen's early life was marked by her involvement with the Lehi militant group, which would later shape her political ideologies. She went on to pursue a career in politics, serving in the Knesset, Israel's parliament, for nearly two decades.
Cohen's parliamentary tenure, which spanned from 1974 to 1992, was marked by her affiliation with the Likud party and later as a co-founder of the Tehiya party in 1979. Her dedication to her political convictions earned her the prestigious Israel Prize, solidifying her position as a respected figure in Israeli politics. Although she lost her parliamentary seat in 1992, Cohen's legacy as a passionate advocate for her beliefs continued to be felt until her passing in 2019.
