Isaac Passy

Isaac Passy was a notable Bulgarian Jewish philosopher, born in 1928, who made significant contributions to the fields of history, literature, and aesthetics. His academic career spanned several decades, with a notable tenure as a professor at Sofia University, where he taught from 1952 to 1993. During his time at the university, Passy established himself as a prominent figure in the philosophical community.

Passy's scholarly output was prolific, with over 40 monographs to his name, in addition to editing around 80 volumes of philosophical texts and historical works on philosophy from various periods. His work had a lasting impact on the field of philosophy, and he is also remembered as the father of Solomon Passy, a prominent Bulgarian politician and diplomat. Isaac Passy passed away in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of intellectual rigor and a profound influence on Bulgarian philosophical thought.
