Jeffrey Garten

Jeffrey Garten is a prominent American economist, born in 1946, with a distinguished career in academia, government, and business. He has held various esteemed positions, including Dean of the Yale School of Management from 1996 to 2005, and later became the Juan Trippe Professor in international trade, finance, and business from 2005 to 2015. Currently, he serves as Dean Emeritus at the Yale School of Management, where he teaches courses on the global economy.
Prior to his academic tenure, Garten had a notable career in government and finance. He served as Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade in the Clinton administration from 1993 to 1995.
