Max Leon

Max Leon was a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents and interests. His career spanned multiple fields, including music, business, and sports. As a musician, he was a skilled conductor and musicologist, demonstrating his expertise in various roles. Leon's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate several ventures, including a candy factory, Whole-Sum Products, which he ran for over four decades.

In the music industry, Leon made significant contributions as the founder and conductor of the Philadelphia Pops Orchestra. He also served as the general manager of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, showcasing his expertise in opera management. Additionally, Leon was involved in radio production, owning and running WDAS (AM) from 1950 to 1979.
