In the music industry, Leon made significant contributions as the founder and conductor of the Philadelphia Pops Orchestra. He also served as the general manager of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, showcasing his expertise in opera management. Additionally, Leon was involved in radio production, owning and running WDAS (AM) from 1950 to 1979.
