Ponevezh Yeshiva

The Ponevezh Yeshiva is a prominent institution of Jewish learning, established in 1919 in Panevėžys, Lithuania, also known as Ponevezh. Founded with the goal of providing advanced Talmudic studies, the yeshiva played a significant role in the preservation and transmission of Jewish tradition and knowledge. Initially based in Lithuania, the yeshiva's early years were marked by a strong commitment to scholarly excellence and spiritual growth.

In 1944, the Ponevezh Yeshiva relocated to Bnei Brak, Israel, where it continues to thrive to this day. With a large student body of over three thousand, including those enrolled in affiliated institutions, the yeshiva remains a major center of Jewish learning and education.
