As the Rebbe of Bodrogkeresztúr, a town near Miskolc in Hungary, Steiner served his community with dedication and wisdom. He was affectionately referred to as Reb Shaya'la of Kerestir, a testament to the high esteem in which he was held. Yeshayah Steiner passed away on 27 April 1925, leaving behind a legacy that continued to inspire and influence the Jewish community.
