Abdul Vas is a Venezuelan artist born in 1981. His early life was marked by a unique blend of cultural influences, having spent time in Suriname, Guyana, and Belgium. This diverse upbringing would later shape his artistic perspective. Vas pursued his artistic education at the Escuela de Artes Visuales Rafael Monasterios (EAVRA) in Maracay, followed by further studies at the prestigious Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.

As a contemporary artist, Abdul Vas has established a multifaceted practice that spans various mediums. He is known to create handmade books, zines, photographs, collages, drawings, paintings, and murals, demonstrating his versatility and creativity. Currently, Vas divides his time between Amsterdam and Madrid, where he lives and works. Through his art, he continues to explore and express his vision, drawing from his rich cultural background and experiences.
