Albert Drach
Austrian-Jewish writer and lawyer (1902–1995)
Albert Drach was a prominent Austrian-Jewish figure, notable for his dual career as a writer and a lawyer. Born in Vienna in 1902, he went on to lead a long and accomplished life, marked by significant contributions to the field of literature. His work as a writer was deeply influenced by his experiences and observations, reflecting the complexities of his time.
Throughout his life, Drach's literary endeavors earned him recognition and acclaim. A notable highlight of his career was the awarding of the prestigious Georg Büchner Prize in 1988 by the Deutsche Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung.
