Russian Israeli poet and artist

Gali-Dana Singer is a multifaceted creative figure, born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where she initially pursued her education at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography. Although she spent three years at the institute, she chose not to complete her degree. This decision marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, as she eventually immigrated to Israel in 1988. Prior to settling in Israel, Singer and her husband, Nekod Singer, lived in Riga for a period of three years.

In Israel, specifically in Jerusalem, Singer's artistic and literary endeavors gained momentum. She established herself as a poet, artist, photographer, and translator, actively engaging with both Russian and Hebrew cultures. Her immersion in the local literary scene in Jerusalem facilitated her growth as a writer and artist, allowing her to flourish in her adopted home. Through her work, Singer contributes to the rich cultural landscape of Israel, drawing from her diverse background and experiences.
